A 25-year-old South African woman and a man from Ivory Coast were arrested for drug smuggling in two separate cases at Suvarnabhumi Airport in Bangkok, Thailand.
Thai media report that Ms Nozipho Nene arrived on an Emirates flight from Dubai with a kilo of cocaine in her travel bag.
Customs officials discovered the drugs during a routine search on Friday, December 16.
Narcotics Suppression cops and customs officials searched Mr Ibrahim Bakayoko from Ivory Coast after he was spotted acting suspiciously.
During an x-ray it was found he had dozens of small packages in his stomach and was given a laxative to clear out his system
Bakayoko had been carrying 63 small packages containing 1.13 kilos of cocaine.
Both Nene and Bakayoko were arrested and charged before being transferred pending further legal proceedings.
